Presenting With Power (2-day workshop)
About the Workshop
We start with the belief that great business recommendations and great communication ideas are not sold… they’re bought. Most clients don’t want to be sold; they want to be helped to buy. So, we need to be effective not just in presenting the information, but also in establishing belief and trust in the presenter and the presentation. This workshop offers many pointers on presentation skills, and focuses most importantly on having each participant present, receive a critique and then present again.
Workshop Objectives
- Provide a fast and easy way to structure your presentations for maximum impact.
- Practice presenting to your peers, and receive immediate, constructive feedback.
- Videotape each participant on a tape they can take away to review the skills they should continue to use, and those they need to work on.
- Create a safe environment in which to experiment with new techniques.
- Work on nonverbal skills that can add drama and texture to a presentation.
Your Workshop Leader
Bill Booth leads the workshop. Bill brings over 25 years of experience in the advertising agency business "helping clients to buy" in both the U.S. and Canada. He has also been an instructor and course director for York University and the ICA for many years and has taught presentation skills to a wide diversity of professional services.
